Progress report

It has been a very full day at The Sanctuary and the girls are all on a mission to achieve as much as possible. There were a couple of early birds this morning that were eager to start. Some are still at their machines tonight. But a couple have retired to the lounge chairs and a sipping a little nip or two.I must confess to a little indulgence myself tonight. Must be the good company. I have finished a couple of projects today as well. Rosie has spoilt us with her cooking, which has been a nice change for me. And the girls have rearranged my menu for tomorrow lunch and decided to have the leftover from dinner tonight, so that will give me some more sewing time tomorrow.

Have taken a few progress shots during the day.

First is Rosie’s Mystery quilt, called Cabin Hearts. This is a log cabin with appliqued hearts to go on the light areas.

Lyn has chosen to do Turkish Delight, which has lots of little 2” 4 patches, which has taken her quite a time to make. I am not sure if she is feeling the Delight at present, but hope it will be worth it at the end.

Gayle is working on Annabella, which is a Bears Paw 9 block quilt in reproduction reds. This has 144 half square triangle units, so Gayle made some and then made up a couple of blocks, and will go back to more of the HST units later.

Pat is making Cornflowers, and had quite a production line going. She called a halt early this evening and retired to the lounge to do some crocheting.

Sherrel’s quilt is called Fire and Ice, and as you can see, is red and white. She has made good progress, although tomorrow she needs to make 72 flying geese units before she can put her blocks together.

Helen is making Crossroads, and has also made good progress.

Erica is making News to Me, which is in Black, white and red colours. This corner is the quiet corner, so maybe that is why there is steady progress.

Meal times are full of chatter, but I have to say that the concentration level is high, so there are periods of silence, and you can almost hear the brains thinking and following the instructions. I have a couple of extra instructions to make to some notes, but mostly they are going well so far. But still 2 days to go yet.

Be back soon, it’s time for bed, ready for another day tomorrow.

Blessings, From Jude
