Finally, a few quilt photos............

Just a quick post this morning, as I am expecting the internet to be turned off soon. Today is the day that I have been putting off for more than a year, when I am supposed to be connected to the NBN! I have heard a lot of "not so good" stories about this changeover, although in fairness some are happy. I cannot put it off for much longer, as the existing system is supposed to be switched off in our town in early June. They tell me I might be without phone (home), and internet for about 4 hours, so we will see??!! My mobile is with another provider so that should be safe.

I woke up early again this morning, as I have been sleeping in quite late for the last few days. Last night was the first night I did not take any Panadol, so maybe that is the reason. The pain has gone, but still some discomfort. And I have been taking life a LOT slower, but hope to speed things up soon!?

I do have a few quilt photos to show, although not as many as I had hoped. There are a couple more custom jobs, but will show those later, as they are for shows soon.

First is a quilt made by Helen, for some good friends who have a birthday soon, and this was quilted allover with a pattern that gives it a lovely texture.

This is a scrappy, disappearing 4 patch quilt, made by Kath, and quilted allover with a feather design.

This I spy quilt, made by Prue, looks great with the stripe border, and the red check sashing. Unfortunately she ran short of the sashing fabric, and was unable to source more.

And in true patchwork fashion, she made do, and used another 2 I Spy fabrics for 2 sashes. And if you weren't told, it was hard to spot. I had to look hard to find them. Just another design opportunity, isn't it?

Well, that's it for now, I better get busy and finish the quilt on Max, which is near the end. I do hope to get some more allover quilts done by the weekend. We have our group annual retreat this weekend, at the "Cockatoo Down's" camp site near Keith, which always is a good time.
We also have our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, and I have another doctor appointment too.
The weeks are disappearing fast and the year is almost half over!

Thanks for the suggestions on my weekend project, it has given me some ideas. Hope to get back to that soon, and even have another project "on the table" to think about. And I am rather behind in replying to blog comments, but will get to that soon.

Blessings, From Jude

🤞 That’s for your NBN, if it doesn’t work, I’ll send smoke signals, watch the sky! Glad to see Max is up & running, so you must be too. 🌷
