I am having a slow start this morning, and still in my dressing gown. I told myself that it is Saturday, and the start of another weekend. My, how the weeks are flying by so fast.
I was woken by the sound of birds singing outside my window this morning, and am reminded that yesterday was the first day of spring. And we saw the sunshine, and for the first time in ages, I was not cold. The rain has returned today, and the temperature is expected to plummet again tomorrow. But we did get a brief glimpse of spring for one day.
It has been another busy week, and my monthly total of quilts quilted, has been one of the highest totals ever. I am about to start some rather large intense customs, so September will not be as high.
I am on target to complete members quilts for our exhibition, so I am pleased about that.
My week did include a rather sad journey to attend the funeral of a friend's grandson. My heart and prayers go out to the family, of a life ended far too young. Sometimes there are no easy answers.
I had another day of doing Grandma duty yesterday. Miss Bridie is a very busy young lady, and enjoyed the visits by friends. She is not shy at all. And once again she had her day time sleep on Grandma's knee. We ventured out into the sun for a walk around the block and a visit to a friend.
And here is another glimpse of spring. Those pretty yellow flowers are popping up allover in my garden. It's just a bit sad that they are weeds.
Tomorrow it is Father's Day in Australia, and I am planning to drive the 2 hour trip to see my Dad for lunch. Today I plan to load one of my quilts onto Max. The garden and the weeds will just have to wait a bit longer.
Time to head for the shower, and start my day now that I have updated you with the newsfromjude for this week. I still have lots of quilts in the file to show, but that will wait for another day.
Blessings, From Jude

Glad to hear your amazing effort of quilts stitched have kept you up to date for your exhibition. Wonderful to have a time of Nanny Day Care, especially with extra Grannies helping out. Pretty Yellow Flowers still brighten up the garden🌼
So, how many quilts did you do? I'm curious :) Amazing considering you also had the mystery weekend, and who knows what else. Enjoy your day with your dad xx
Have a nice day with your Dad. Love the pic Miss of Bridie with the phone. Ah, dear old oxalis, which can be such a pest & so hard to remove. Think you've just sent your horrible weather our way. When I got up at 6.30, it was all still, now the wind is howling around & making the house creak somewhat scarily, actually. Take care.
So sad to hear you have been to a funeral for a child. Gardening can wait, the weather will warm up soon, and then when you pull the weeds out you can replace them with pretty flowers from the nursery! Good luck with the quilting pile, I am sure there have been some long days getting through them all.
