As it is almost a week since I posted, I thought I would play catchup tonight with the newsfromjude that covers my week. I shall do a few smaller posts to update you.
The next 3 days is the Horsham quilt show, and as my weekend is occupied a car load of us made a quick trip today. I had a couple of quilt deliveries to make as well, and was nice weather for a day out. (Too nice for May 1st). This weekend our local group are having a workshop with Kerryn Brand, who is teaching a shirt class. More details will come about that in due course.
They had a lovely sign at the door, and a car with a quilt on it, at the edge of the road to attract your attention.
The Horsham girls were celebrating 30 years of quilting in their group, and the theme was Treasures and Pearls. Their decorations were fantastic, even to the lady who “wore” her treasures.
This quilt was made by Sue and the information is on the label below, and the photo after that shows the whole quilt. Looks great, and thankyou Sue for permission to post your quilts. I took lots of other photos, but only have posted a few.
More treasures.
This table runner, called Flourish was made by Faye Woodhart, and quilted by me some months ago. It is lovely to see them with the binding on, as they are “bindless” when they leave my studio!
And this is another one by Faye, which was also quilted by me a few months ago. I have not posted this before, as I was waiting for the quilt show. It looked fantastic hanging, and the back looked pretty good as well. Faye called it Faye’s Finale, as she says it is her last needleturn work, as her eyesight is not good. But I think that maybe she will surprise us with more yet. It is actually a Sue Daley design, called Antique Sampler, made in Faye’s choice of colours.
This quilt was made by Sue, and I thought I had taken a full photo, but perhaps not as I can’t find it. I have taken close up shots that show Elaine’s quilting, which is very creative, as you can see.
More treasures.
Another quilt made by, and quilted by Sue. If you click on the photo, it will tell you the story.
More treasures.
As usual, there were a number of quilt shops at the exhibition to tempt you with some gorgeous fabrics. Thankyou to the Horsham quilters for a lovely display, and a nice day out.

Thanks Judy, nice to see my own quilts on your blog! Sorry I didn't have time to have a cuppa with you. Glad everyone liked the show sign (I made that) and my Mum made the quilt hanging off her car!
Just had a quick catchup and the quilts on last post are beautifully quilted. The show looks great and hope your weekend goes well. Take care.
Hi Judy, what beautiful things were made by the Horsham girls, sounds like a great time was had by all as usual. Looking forward to June. X
