Following our later than expected trip home last night, once again it was a late wakeup. Thankfully we were already awake when a phone call came through from a friend in Victoria. It takes a bit of getting used to of the time difference between the states, and SA is almost at lunch time when we are just waking up. DD3 is in Victoria also. If I think about messages after tea in the evening, it is almost bedtime for them. And there is no daylight saving in WA either.
It was time this morning to pack up again and head for Perth. My memories of caravaning from many years ago, has me thinking about the differences now and then. Set up at the site was very basic - a drain bucket under the van, no taps to hook up for water as you only had what was in your van tank, and you only had to plug in the power cord. Even hitching up seemed more simple then, as I don't think we had battery backup plugs, just a plug for indicators and lights. I appreciate the jobs that Barry has each time we stop and set up and the reverse to pack it up and go. I am slowly getting used to what needs doing and helping with all these jobs, which makes things easier for Barry.
On our way out of Toodyay, we stopped at this park and here are a few photos................
On the road to Perth.......................hilly country..........
We stopped here to get a pic of Perth from the top of the hill, but there were a few too many trees to get a good view.........
We arrived in Perth and have set up at the Discovery Park on Benara Rd, in the Swan Valley, where we will stay for a week while we tour around Perth and surrounds. We were the first to arrive in this part of the park, and it was not long before we had neighbours. The weather is quite warm, and we are thankful for the air conditioner.
I spent the afternoon downloading photos from phone to laptop and then catching up on blog posts. Barry had another job fixing up a drawer that kept opening when we travelled.
A couple of phonecalls and then tea. We did talk about going somewhere for a meal, but decided to stay put. After tea we walked around the park in the cool of evening. Because there is no daylight saving it gets dark earlier than home.
We spent some time looking at the map and thinking about which way we'll go when we eventually head east, but still undecided.
There ends another day. The temperature is rising here this week. I wonder what will tomorrow bring??
Blessings, From Jude

I can relate to the time differences between East and West . That’s why I often miss out on Zoom GTGs but I’m pleased we don’t have daylight saving….
Enjoy your stay in Perth.
A nice relaxing couple of days. Enjoy Perth.
Sounds like you are having a great time
