As you drive into Kaniva, which is about a half hour drive from where I live, and just across the border into the next state, you are greeted by the site of these sheep. Usually I am on a mission to get somewhere by a certain time, so have never stopped to a photo opportunity before. There are many more along the street, all brightly painted.
And of course, the exhibition was for the Kaniva WINDMILL stitchers, and there had to be a windmill in the main street somewhere too. As you can see from the blue sky, it was a lovely day to be out and about. (Even today, I can see that there is a blue sky outside, but I have not ventured outside yet, not even to get the paper from the front lawn!)

Of course there were a few shops there to tempt us with their goodies. First picture is Delwyn, from Quilters Harvest of Warracknabeal, who have now closed their shop and selling the remaining fabric at shows. I will admit to doing some serious damage here.
It was a lovely display of a wide variety of quilts, and also a great catch up with quilters that I know. A few photos of some of the quilts follow, and mostly I snapped the label of the quilt, although my apologies for missing a few names.
The following quilts were all made in Pick a Case Mystery retreats, and it was great to see them hanging up in the show.(I don't usually see them with the bindings on.)
I have spent this morning "in the office", catching up on admin jobs, and crossing things off the list. It is a good feeling, as some of those jobs, have been on the list for a looooong time. And now this post has been crossed off that list too. I had intended to post this on the weekend that we have just had, but other things took precedence and I shall report on that

A perfect day for the quilt show. A great display from clever ladies. I think a competition for how many quilts have been made from your designs for the Mystery Quilt Retreats would be quite revealing. ��
Looks a lovely day out & someones name appears on quite a few of those labels!!! I've seen those sheep many times on the way to Bordertown & still not taken photos either.

What a beautiful day, and delightful sheep! Thank you for sharing so many beautiful quilts. There were any number I would be excited to own myself. I found it interesting that, while there are many that are similar to some I'd see here in the US, there were quite a few I wouldn't, too. I guess the international community still has pockets of individuality! I loved seeing all the ones you showed, and I know I'd have enjoyed that show.
