A quick post..........

After a comment from a friend who had read my blog and the travel pics to 'get there' and was waiting for news of 'being there', I have decided on a quick update just to keep her happy. I have not had wifi since last week, and have now downloaded all my photos, but there are so many pics to sort and so much to tell you that I will take more time 'sometime' in the future.

In the meantime I will show some pics of...........the campsite we stayed at............lots of cabins all lined up in a row for us, each with 4 bedrooms and a kitchen area. Each bedroom had their own ensuite.

This was our cabin, the first in the row, and close to the dining and sewing area.

....the view on the other side of the cabins................ and I thought I had a pic of the otherside where caravans were parked. Some of the girls were in their vans and had husbands with them. The hubbies went on day drives while we sewed.

This was the view in the room early this morning and only a few still in residence.......

....and the car packed, although not quite as high as last week. But we still have another passenger to pick up tomorrow morning.

We left camp about 9am. The weather has been much warmer at Barradine than when we left home last week, and reached up to 28 deg one day. We travelled through the Warrambungle Ranges, near Coonabarabran and headed south...........

I think it was near to Dubbo ?? when we saw the painted windmills.....but it was a bit hard to photograph them all together.......

We turned off the main road in Dubbo, to find somewhere to eat and early lunch, and guess what we found in the street we drove along????

It must have been meant to be............ so in we went........... but I will save all the photos of this for a separate post 'sometime'.

We are now tucked up in the motel at West Wyalong and the temperature is down to 14deg and cold, and will be in for an early night, before collecting our passenger in the morning and heading off on another road trip for 2 more days before we arrive home.

Blessings,
From Jude

Scrub stitching Retreat was all we had heard about & seen from previous retreats photos. The gathering of 35 quilters in a campsite in the bush where had nothing to do but STITCH, EAT, LAUGH & HAVE A GREAT TIME was amazing 👏

Look forward to hearing & seeing more. I love the Warrambungles & have also spent time in Dubbo a few times. You went to a Quilt Show? So did I, but not that one.
Wish I could join you all one day maybe as it sounds great. Take care & travel safely.

Great to see how you travelled - those painted windmills are very cool. Amazing how much the temperatures changed but I guess we were travelling big distances so to be expected!
