Checking in.......................

I have sat down tonight and downloaded the photos from last weekend's retreat with the Rendelsham group, but have decided that the words will have to wait for another time.

So this is just a quick update until the full report soon, as I am still catching up on sleep after a few late nights, (well later than my "normal"!) It has been a very hectic 3 weeks, with 2 weekend retreats following on from each other, and an intensive custom show quilt. This was followed by a day trip to the city yesterday. Today I have managed one edge to edge quilt with Max, and lots of catching up with orders, and emails and admin "stuff". This afternoon it was KYB study group here.

I handed over 2 quilts to customers yesterday in Adelaide, and picked up another 5, so I can see that the quilting will be continuing for some time to come.

The main reason for the journey yesterday was my annual mammogram and visit with the specialist, and am pleased to report that I have now reached the 11 years clear mark, so that's a relief.  No matter how much you try not to worry, it is something that hangs heavy on the mind in the lead up to the appointment.

It was lovely to walk out from the clinic in the late afternoon, and see the large gum trees in the park across the road, and hear the bird song in those trees. It was a special moment in time for me, and a reminder to me of those words of the hymn, "Be still, and know that I am Lord". I stood still for awhile, listening to creation and took these photos. I am thankful for this park in the centre of the busyness of the city.

Time for bed, be back soon.

So pleased to hear that your annual check up is clear. Cancer is far too prevalent in our community and so devastating.
