A Belly full of laughs!!!

It's time for a blog post of our "Time with William" retreat number 1. Tonight we are winding down after an amazing time. We have had 11 ladies here since Friday evening for a time of sewing with Michele Hill. She has inspired so many with her knowledge and designs of all things William Morris. Most of us are working on one of Michele'e designs, and it was time to spend with her as she stitched her own quilts.

There was a time of 'getting to know' each other on Friday afternoon, and the room was soon filled with many conversations. It was just delightful to listen to the chatter, as everyone got to know each other.

The weather has warmed up, but it was lovely out in the pergola in the early morning for brekkie and a cuppa.

Once again we had a couple of ladies in the next room sewing, and Michele shared her time with those in each room.

We also learned more of Beatrix Potter while viewing movies on the TV.

I took the following photos of "works in progress' during the 2 days, (although a couple are not William Morris).

Late afternoon, and a little lubrication to help things along, as we heard the words,...."it's 5 o'clock somewhere!".

Time to put the feet up after a day's sewing.

Marie, of "Holly Hand Dyes" called in with some of her hand dyed fabric, and a few purchases were made.

Time for "show and tell" as one of Michele's quilts were laid out on the bed.

Usually it is Pat that gives massages at our retreats, so it was a treat for her to be on the receiving end.

And here are the 2 ladies who share a name, although one is "one L" and other "two L's".

And of course, the obligatory group photo.

We were fortunate to have a visit from Miss Bridie and her mum and dad, although Miss Bridie was acting shy, which is out of character for her.

There are just a couple of ladies left that will depart tomorrow, and then another group will arrive for "Time with William" retreat number 2. It has been such a fun time, with lots of sharing, and caring, and most of all, a belly full of laughs!! Quilting and stitching is great therapy, but when it is combined with good conversation with friends, and lots of laughs it is even more special.  I am looking forward to the next few days, and will come back soon with a report and photos.

Blessings, From Jude

A dose of Bordertown Magic is better than any medication for our souls. Love, laughter & stitching makes this world a better place, & a hostess that makes this happen. ๐Ÿ’—

Fabulous post Jude!! You must have been up a bit earlier than me! I treasure my retreats with you where we share life's challenges, life's celebrations and are looked after so well. Amazing food, no dishes and on the menu that "belly full of laughs" as well! We are all so blessed to know you - thank you xx

Conce again a wonderful time at Bordertown sharing friendships and lots of laughs with like minded friends. Lovely to have Michele there as well, what an inspiration this lady is and a pleasure to be around. Once again, thank you Judy for making it possible to have such a rewarding experience for us all.
Until next time, thank you ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’•
