Part 3................

Saturday morning there was an early start (well earlier than most days!!) and we were picked up by Bruce and Heather and taken to the Wodonga Farmers' Market. We enjoyed egg and bacon sandwiches and coffee before wandering around the stalls. We loved this van from the Free Range eggs stall, and the sense of humor displayed in the cartoons..........

In this building were rooms full of beautiful timber products to tempt us, and I do know someone who made a purchase, which I will show you another day.

The park was alongside the Murray River and we walked around the path...........

...and noted these carvings which displayed features of Wodonga.

Following our walk around we were given a tourist drive around the cities of Wodonga and Albury, which are really one big city, but separated by the River Murray which is the border between Victoria and New South Wales.
That evening we went back to the Wodonga Park to see the Limelight Show..........

I was interested to note the use of laces and curtain fabrics for this hanging in the morning, and now it was lit up for the show. (I might have some fabric that I could use to make these!!?)

Sunday morning it was special to attend church with Bruce and Heather,......

..............which was followed by lunch at the Plaza and a drive to the park, and a walk around the lake.............

..........and followed by coffee on the deck at their home. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and what a great view they have of the hills in the distance.

Monday was a work morning for Barry, while I downloaded more photos and edited them for a blog post and made a few phone calls. After chilly nights, the days have been blue sky and sunshine. I know a lot of the country are waiting for rain, but we are very happy to have nice weather to travel in.
After lunch we went to the plaza to restock the fridge with a few basics. We are well stocked with most food for meals as we have an Engel freezer in the car as well as the fridge in the van.
Then back to the van before heading back to Heather and Bruce's for a BBQ tea. While Barry has known these friends for close to 50 years, I have enjoyed getting to know them and spending time with them while we have been in Wodonga.

We have had a good week here in Wodonga, and Tuesday it will be time to pack up and move on. Stay tuned for the next instalment of newsfromjude.

Blessings, From Jude

Love love love the creativity and humor painted on the egg van! I studdied all of it with a big smile.
The light show looks like fun and is unique to me.
Another city separated by a river and in two different states. I liked seeing the flea market booths.
