More quilting............

Below are a few more customer quilts that I have done recently....... not details, just the photos this time.

And the next few quilt have been made by Barb, finishing partly done tops and using up the strings in the drawers................these will all be donated to a good cause eventually. I am glad to see someone using up the excess fabric here.

That's all for this post.
The weather is very cold this week, and we have had some rain, but a lot more is needed yet.

Catching up once again..............

I don't know how this year has flown by so fast, and here we are at the last day of June already.....the half way mark....I always seem to be playing catchup, don't I? As I seem to be so far behind, I have to wonder about whether i should keep the blog going or quietly give up?? Life has certainly changed for me and there are no retreats to post about anymore??? And very little quilting. What do you think??

It's 2 months since I posted and here is another 2 month catch up post. So what have I been doing?

THE WEDDING.............

In April GD2 and her fiance were married.....the bride and attendants were beautiful.......the groom and his guys looked handsome and the weather was perfect for an outdoor autumn occasion..........

ANOTHER HOLIDAY

Straight after the wedding we packed the van and headed off again............and I shall do a separate post on this........

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY

How do the years fly by so fast?? A bit scary when it hardly seems any time at all since I was much younger!?

A VERY RARE SEWING DAY

A friend was in town for a few days and requested a sewing day with me, so I asked a couple of other ladies and we had a lovely day together. It is only the second time in 12 months that I have sat at the machine!!

70th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Barry's brother turned 70 and there was a family party to celebrate at the local hotel.

A CONCERT

We had a trip with friends to Horsham to attend the Creedence Clearwater Collective concert.....

.......and since then we seemed to have caught whatever bug is going around, and so not much has been achieved except staying by the fire and keeping warm.

OTHER STUFF........

There has been more sorting of the contents of Barry's house and this house in an effort to declutter. An ongoing task that has us wondering if we will ever finish. It is a definite wakeup call to go through my 'stuff' and get some sort of order in it all before someone comes in and does it for me???

I have spent more time with Max and finished off a few more customer quilts.

A good friend has been sewing some of the quantity of scrap fabrics and unfinished tops that seem to be everywhere in this house. These will all be donated somewhere eventually, and I shall post photos in another post.

There has been a few meals and lunches out with friends which is always lovely. Friends that go back 40 or more years were in town recently and we caught up for morning coffee, which lasted until lunch time!!

And the big news for this week, is that I am up to date with my end of financial year bookwork, instead of coming to it, 6 months down the track!! Wonders will never cease??

That's all folks....be back sometime with a report on our latest trip. (Well, before we leave on the next one??)

Blessings, From Jude
