It's a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Born March 5th, 2018 to Susanne and Dan, a beautiful baby girl, named Billie Carmen and weighing in at 3.525kg, and 48.5cm long.

Edited later, another couple of photos.

Babies come when they are ready, and not usually to our schedule, so it was tricky trying to plan the last week or so. DD2 (and boys) and I had planned to drive to Melbourne when she was born. Last week we both had clear diaries, and were ready to go! But this baby was in no hurry!  This week we both had things that needed to be moved, and the fact that DD2 lives a 9 hour drive from Melbourne made it complicated. And we did not want DD3 to be under pressure to give us advance notice if something might happen. So DD2 decided that we would drive to Melbourne on Sunday, and be here in case, and have a holiday while we were waiting. It was a leisurely drive on Sunday, with a few stops along the way, firstly at Horsham for lunch, then the Giant Koala, and then Kryal Castle......

......before approaching Melbourne and arriving at our destination about 5pm.

So DD2 and the boys have been doing the tourist thing, including the tram, Melbourne Gaol and the Eureka Sky Deck, and I have been catching up on the bookwork with my computer at our accommodation. We are staying about 2 blocks from the hospital, which is very handy. And it all worked out very well, as Billie obligingly decided to make an entrance the day after we arrived. We all visited last night and had some cuddles. This morning it was more tourist activities for them, while this Grandma had some more cuddles. Then it will be an afternoon visit for us all, before we head for home again.

I shall be working out some winners for the baby competition when I get home, and I know one lady got the date right, 7 guessed the sex, and 3 scored a correct middle name. Will be in touch, when I am back.

Blessings, From Jude

Congratulations! She is beautiful and precious, what a blessing!! To answer the question that you asked in response to a recent blog post-- YES, the learning curve from EQ7 to EQ8 is a steep one, at least it is for this OLD brain. :(
