Other September and October happenings ............

We arrived home from our trip to find a load of stones being put on the front driveway................

They were also spread at the side of the house, and grey stones put in front of the garage.......but sorry, no photo of that. Here is a pic of the doorway to my quilting room.........taken on a lovely sunny, blue sky day..............with the bottle brush coming into flower.

And a few more garden photos........my banksia rose in the early stages.............

................and my jasmine, that smelled divine.............

.............and a lovely pink rose that also smelled divine.......lots of flowers these days seem to have lost the scent..........this was a birthday gift from friends.

......and the roses at the front of the house putting on a magnificent display..........

I have done a few customer quilts, but don't have pics of them all..........

I've quilted a top for Olivia, and am in the process of binding it, and will try to remember to take a photo before it leaves the building. Other than those, there has been little stitching happening.

There has been the usual appointments, and shopping days, attending church...... Barry's brother's 70th birthday lunch, another friend who turned 80......visits from family.

We added another funeral to our list......a 23 year old.....much too young, but he had an amazing influence in his short life.

Barry had a problem with his phone, and was unable to access his data...........so we went to Naracoorte for a new phone.....and thankfully they could save his contact list. We both went home that day with new phones. It's scary when there is so much info on our phones.....

Pat and I attended the Kaniva quilt show and I was very happy with sales.....

I will finish this post here, and be back with some more October news........

Blessings, From Jude

Time at Murray Bridge in September..........

Before I get too far behind with blog posts again, I better report on a trip we had in September............we have spent a lot of time at the caravan park at Murray Bridge lately....it's a good base for the places we've needed to go too, saves taking the van into the city, and is a good chance to spend time with mum and family..........so here we are set up at the Marina park in MB.......we had Barry's cousin's funeral to go too in Adelaide.....we had intended to be away for a few days, but the office manager told Barry that he should take more time while it was possible.......so we were away for 12 days in total!!

Barry did some work time while we were away.......it is good to be able to keep up remotely........

Other activities, in no particular order are.............
Time to catch up with DS and family when they came to visit mum............and Tate showed me his mouth and the gaps where the teeth used to be!!!

We met up with friends and went on a 3 hour lunch cruise from Murray Bridge on the Captain Proud boat..........

.........going under the Swanport Bridge..........

We went on a drive up the river........to Walker Flat......

...and crossed the river on the ferry at Swan Reach..................I love the cliffs on the river.........

..........this is the 'house' that our friends were staying at...........

................and the river view, from the deck................

............I took a few books to ready, but I don't think I finished any!!

We took Mum shopping, and appointments, really had a good rest, and visited friends..........and heard the news one evening of a fire in the town.......glad I wasn't living in that street........

It was good to spend more time with mum, who hasn't been so well. So, 12 days later, we headed back to Bordertown, where we cleaned the van, remade the bed, washed the van and took it out to the farm and put it in the shed, ready for the next time.
