It seems that blog posts are few and far between lately, so perhaps I should do a quick catch up before any more time goes by. I shall try to update recent newsfromjude, briefly!!? Trying to remember recent happenings will be the challenge, though the photo files should give me some clues...........
Sorting things in the houses is a continual process and will be happening for a long time yet..........these recipe books have found another home........
We attended my nephews 21st birthday party near Murray Bridge and it was a lovely evening and great for Mum to have all 5 of her children at the same place at the same time..........
............and these were some of mum's grandies that were at the party, and the birthday boy is back row, second from right.
After an absence of sewing days at Number eight, I decided to have a few friends to sew on Melbourne Cup day, and we had a small sweep, and guess what, I drew the winning horse.....my one and only gambling effort for the year......
....my stitching effort was to continue with this quilt that has been languishing for a looong time. The top third is now together....don't hold your breath waiting for any more progress in the near future.
We had a very hot Saturday a couple of weeks ago, and the sprinklers were going on the lawn at the front. I went outside to turn them off and this is what I found!!! Mummy duck and 16 little babies, were loving the water puddle that was on the driveway. The owner claimed them a few hours later.
The grain silos at Wirrega, which is a few kms up the highway towards Keith have now been demolished...........and we happened to drive by when they were half gone. Seems such a waste to be knocking them down???
Miss Olivia turned 2 years old, and loved the candles and her cake. (I know there are more than 2 candles on the cake!!!)
My first baby (in the centre) turned 50 years old last month and we celebrated at a winery in the hills.
Plants in the pergola put on some magnificent blooms.
My Mum turned 93 years old this week and 42 of the family celebrated at the beach on Sunday........
Mum and her 90 years old brother.
.....and 3 of her 5 children.
I do have a bit more to post, but will do that in a separate post. Also a few more customer quilt photos to come. And we are already on another trip to the west, so better catch up soon.
Be back.
Blessings, From Jude
