Moving Day

I had a trip up the highway on Saturday to help move Mum into her new home. There were plenty of hands on deck and all went to plan. We enjoyed lunch together after the furniture was moved and the old house cleaned up.

After lunch we unpacked boxes and found space in the cupboards. Not too sure if Mum will find things when she needs them, and I am sure she will rearrange positions as she works it all out.

The area is lovely with a little garden next to the house (that Mum doesn't need to look after), and you can see that spring has sprung.

This pathway goes up through the garden from the letterbox to Mum's house.

Next to the letterbox area is this little picnic area which would be a lovely place to gather.

Just a quick post today as I had a bit of time before going to a meeting tonight. Our patchwork group should have had their AGM back in May, but we all know lots of events that haven't happened this year. Hopefully tonight we can have our meeting to elect new office bearers, in a socially distant manner, and following the guidlines for meetings. We need a quorum of 40% of financial members, and some of our members live just over the border which is a bit tricky. We have adapted to new ways of doing things and hope to have a few "attending" the meeting by Zoom.

I will be back soon to talk about all things PINK.

Blessings, From Jude

I am glad the move went well and there was lots of help as it is a daunting prospect moving house! I am sure she will enjoy the new social environment though.

It’s great that everyone pitched in to help with the move. I know fro experience it is a huge task, especially when downsizing from a family home. We’ve been involved in these a few times now and then from a retirement unit to nursing home. It looks like your Mum’s new home is in a delightful setting. She should settle in well. I hope the meeting went off well.
