Finished at last

At long last I have finished the star quilt, just need to take out the basting stitches, and steam press the holes from my unpicking of the blocks I was not happy with. I have taken the quilt off and finished some other quilts in between the start and finish of this. And had another retreat at The Sanctuary last weekend, which I will report on soon.

This quilt is 78 sq feet, so a big one, had 90 star blocks, 72 plain squares, 38 setting triangles, plus a border, and it now also has 510,111 stitches in it! I am looking forward to taking it off tomorrow and getting some distance from it. (The photos shows the quilt a few days ago!)

Now it will be full steam ahead, as I need to finish a few more custom quilts, ready for the Bordertown Quilt show from 18-20 October.

Am heading to bed, need some sleep, be back soon.

Blessings,

From Jude

Oh, Jude, it is stunning. I can see why you need a little time away from this beautiful quilt. Thank you for sharing. Blessings.
